A) DEFINITION: · Interjections are used to show extreme emotion (great surprise, pleasure, or displeasure).
B) PUNCTUATION: · If the INTERJECTION is not followed by a sentence, then place an exclamation point after it:
· If the INTERJECTION is followed by a sentence, then place a comma after it and place an exclamation point at the sentence’s end:
· The interjection O is never followed by punctuation; however, Oh is always followed by punctuation.
