Process Analysis Assignment

Write a well-developed and organized directional process essay on one of the following topics or one of your own that has been cleared with your instructor.

Directional

  1. How to change a flat tire
  2. How to change the oil
  3. How to quit smoking
  4. How to write an effective essay
  5. How to succeed in a job interview
  6. How to flunk out of college
  7. How to lose friends

Reminders: 

bulletProvide for a general introductory paragraph, which includes an overview of the process, any materials needed, and indicates where the process begins.
bulletBegin each successive paragraph with a topic sentence that summarizes the step. Then proceed to describe each step using any method of development for clarification.
bulletInform your reader of any precautions, hazards, etc.
bulletUse chronological order.
bulletFor directional processes, use direct commands.
bulletUse transitions for coherence.
bulletFinally, end with a concluding paragraph, which indicates where the process ends, and a re-iteration of its purpose.
